Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SoundBridge platform, including the website at soundbridge.ai, the management portal, the transmitter application, and the listener web app (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
SoundBridge provides real-time audio translation for live events. The Service consists of:
- Transmitter Application. A desktop application (Windows and macOS) that captures audio from a microphone or audio source and streams it to SoundBridge servers for translation.
- Listener Web App. A browser-based application that receives and plays back translated audio. Listeners access it via a URL shared by the organization; no installation is required.
- Management Portal. A web-based dashboard for managing transmitters, organizations, users, analytics, and billing.
- HLS Video Translation. The ability to ingest audio from an HLS video stream URL for translation through the same pipeline.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
SoundBridge is offered through subscription plans such as Starter, Growth, and Enterprise. Each plan includes defined limits on transmitters, translation entitlements, advanced features, and HLS stream allowances.
Billing is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. You are responsible for keeping payment information current.
Growth and Enterprise plans include higher translation capacity, voice cloning, longer analytics retention, and expanded support entitlements. Current plan details are published on our pricing pages and order forms.
5. Usage Limits
Each plan sets limits on the number of transmitters, included spoken translation hours, and certain premium features. SoundBridge meters spoken translation time rather than silence or non-speech segments. If you exceed your plan's included usage, overage rates or plan restrictions may apply until you upgrade or the next billing cycle begins. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before any restriction takes effect.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use SoundBridge only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to transmit unlawful, harmful, threatening, or infringing content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the transmitter application
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
- Use the Service in a way that violates the rights of any third party
7. Audio Content
You retain ownership of all audio content transmitted through the Service. SoundBridge processes audio in real time solely for the purpose of providing translation. We do not store, record, or retain audio content after delivery to listeners. We do not use your audio content for training machine learning models.
8. Intellectual Property
The SoundBridge name, logo, transmitter application, portal, listener app, and all associated software, designs, and documentation are the property of SoundBridge or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers including ElevenLabs, AWS Translate, Stripe, Supabase, and Resend. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers to the extent they apply. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.
10. Translation Accuracy
SoundBridge uses automated speech recognition, machine translation, and speech synthesis to provide translations. Translation is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of translated content. You should not rely on SoundBridge translations for safety-critical, medical, legal, or regulatory purposes without independent verification.
11. Voice Cloning
Some plans allow organizations to create or manage cloned voices. You may only create or use a cloned voice if you have all necessary rights, authorizations, and speaker consent. You are responsible for ensuring that any voice sample you upload is lawfully obtained and that use of the resulting clone complies with applicable law, contract, and organizational policy.
We may suspend or delete any cloned voice entry if we reasonably believe it violates rights, law, or these Terms.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOUNDBRIDGE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoundBridge and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
16. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the management portal or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for partial periods.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
17. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SoundBridge regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
