Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

SoundBridge ("we," "us," or "our") provides real-time audio translation services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, transmitter application, listener web app, management portal, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you sign up or request a demo, we collect your name, email address, organization name, phone number (if provided), and payment information. Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

Usage Data. We collect data about how you use the Service, including billable spoken translation time, raw stream duration for operational diagnostics, number of active transmitters and listeners, selected languages, and feature usage within the portal.

Transmitter Application Data. The SoundBridge transmitter app collects device type, operating system, microphone selection, and connection status. The app sends audio from the selected microphone to our servers for real-time translation.

Audio Data. Audio streams captured by transmitters or ingested from HLS video feeds are processed in real time. Audio is transcribed, translated, and synthesized into translated speech, then delivered to listeners. We meter spoken translation time rather than charging for silence or non-speech segments. We do not store, record, or retain raw or translated audio after delivery except where a customer explicitly uploads sample files to create a voice clone.

Listener Data. The listener web app does not require account creation. We may collect anonymous usage data such as language selected and session duration. Listener access is controlled by organization-specific access tokens.

Technical Data. We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, and access timestamps through server logs. This data is used for security monitoring and service reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use audio content for training machine learning models.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SoundBridge:

Each third-party provider processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each provider to perform its function.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations. Usage analytics are retained in aggregate form. Real-time audio is not retained; it exists only during active processing. If you create a voice clone, uploaded sample files are retained only as long as necessary to complete the clone workflow or comply with the voice provider's processing rules. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Our website uses minimal cookies for essential functionality. The portal and listener apps use browser local storage to persist session tokens and user preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

7. International Data Transfers

SoundBridge processes data through third-party infrastructure and AI services that may operate in the United States or other approved processing regions. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred internationally to provide the Service. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers subject to applicable law and our contractual commitments.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

SoundBridge is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or sending an email to your account address. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
